Fossil is an American lifestyle accessories brand founded in 1984 in Texas by Tom Kartsotis, then trading as Overseas Products International. It built its name on retro-styled fashion watches, with vintage-inspired design and collectible tin packaging as recurring brand signatures, and added leather goods in 1990. Today the brand spans watches, handbags, small leather goods and jewelry, and it is the namesake brand of Fossil Group, Inc., based in Richardson, Texas.
