Rolex is a Swiss luxury watchmaker headquartered in Geneva. It was founded in London in 1905 by Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis as Wilsdorf and Davis, registered the Rolex name in 1908, and has been owned by the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation, a private trust, since 1960. The brand is known for self-winding Oyster wristwatches such as the Submariner, Datejust, GMT-Master II and Cosmograph Daytona, and it also owns the Tudor watch brand.
