Adolf (Adi) Dassler registered the business under the adidas name in 1949, after running a shoe factory with his brother Rudolf from 1924. The brand is known for its three-stripe mark and for football, running, training and lifestyle footwear and apparel, including the Originals line that carries the Trefoil logo.
