Converse is an American footwear and apparel brand founded in 1908 as the Converse Rubber Shoe Company in Malden, Massachusetts. It is best known for the canvas Chuck Taylor All Star sneaker and also makes the Chuck 70, One Star and Jack Purcell lines. The brand is based in Boston and has been part of Nike, Inc. since 2003.
